About Becky Whitfield

My Background

I have extensive experience of working with people in psychological and therapeutic roles, having worked in mental health, community therapy, third sector and NHS settings since 1997.

My first degree was in Psychology and Sociology (BSc), after which I have trained as a Counsellor (PGdip), a Counselling Psychologist (MSc), and a Systemic Psychotherapist (MA).

I have worked with families in adult mental health and children’s and young people’s settings, with severe mental health challenges as well as in primary mental healthcare.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, which recognises my years of experience and contribution to the field of psychology.
